Uplifting Syrian Women

WE CARE FOR YOU INDIVIDUALLY

"A woman is, in fact, the first school where a human's personality begins to form, and the society that leaves its children in the arms of an ignorant woman cannot expect valid service or sound perception from its members."

-Ali Alwardi

About Uplifting Syrian Women

A non-profit, educational and awareness-raising digital initiative, founded in March 2021, aiming to help Syrian women of all ages and offering online pro bono services. Uplifting Syrian Women Initiative involves a medley of individuals, reflecting the true diversity of the typical Syrian street; in terms of age, gender, opinions, interests, specialties, and from all around the country. Our dream team

Syrian women and men all came to agree that their difference doesn’t call for dispute, they turned all their potentials and skills into a family that believes that what binds over love to give cannot be broken apart over time or place.

Carol Zakhour

Chair of the Board

The initiative is first and foremost a family, like all Syrian families, happy regardless of all hardships, innovative despite lack of resources, rich with members so different yet share the love to give.
So far, our family has done its best to help Syrian women improve their lives, and will continue to do what every Syrian family does gazing upon awaiting challenges, it will proceed.

Volunteering for an organization with an actual impact on people’s lives is becoming rare. I am glad to be volunteering with such initiative that aims to support Syrian women in all fields, enabling them to find jobs and guarantee dignified life. I am proud that my work as a graphic designer served a greater purpose.

Haya Tabbal

We, members of Uplifting Syrian Women Initiative, seek to help Syrian women.
Our goal is to benefit these women and rise with them and ourselves at once.
I wouldn’t have been this happy and proud of myself if I hadn’t joined the initiative, it introduced me to brilliant and passionate who are capable of making a change.
